ACE Computers, Eurocom Corporation, Alpine Consulting, and Instant InfoSystems were recently honored for their outstanding industry and community accomplishments during IT ChannelVision Fall 2005 at the Manchester Grand Hyatt in San Diego.

NASBA Awards were presented in the following categories:

Top Performing Business Award
ACE Computers, with 22 years in the industry, continues to "grow like a start-up" by continually refocusing its strategy to markets of opportunity.

In 2005, ACE designed the Powerworks™ Storage Server Series 33K for the U.S. Navy with a custom software stack. This unique solution allows the Navy to perform archival backup on their systems without custom hardware and is being extensively used onboard surface ships and subs at Naval facilities in Newport, RI, Keyport, WA, and Dahlgren, VA. The storage servers offer absolute security, data encryption, access to source code and a highly competitive price.

"We saw our Federal sales for FY2005 increase by 524% over FY2004", said John Samborski, Vice-President of ACE Computers, "and our backlog for 2006 already exceeds last year's total."

But it doesn't mean that ACE is sitting still. They have plans in place for 2006 that include exhibiting several new Home/Professional Media Servers at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES®) at the launch event of Intel® Corporation's new ViiV™ Technology brand for Digital Entertainment in the Home, participating in the NASBA Digital Home/Edge Program, and from there making the best of what's coming in the home media server arena.

"We're passionate about the industry and about technology itself," said Samborski, "and that's the true secret of our success."

Ace Computers is one of the Midwest's leading suppliers of information technology solutions and one of the Top 100 Custom System Builders in the nation. See why at www.acecomputers.com.

New Business Innovation Award
The recent initiatives of the Canadian Federal Government to centralize "green projects" and move into "green purchasing" based on Kyoto Agreement objectives has brought a heightened awareness of the green computing issue to the general public. It also prompted Canada-based Eurocom Corporation to address the growing problem of high energy consumption, and design, develop and offer its customers low-power computing solutions.

"The 'Green PC' L570w gives IT buyers a choice in how their computing decisions contribute to ergonomic and environmentally sound purchasing while not sacrificing technical requirements," said Ryan Valley, Director of Business Development, Eurocom.

Eurocom was awarded the NASBA New Business Innovation Award for the versatile L570w low-power, 64-bit AMD all-in-one Portable PC. This system goes beyond environmentally friendly, and meets and exceeds technical requirements in terms of future upgradeability, processing power, and network integration.

"IT customers will value the environmental, ergonomic, and technical benefits of the full-featured, energy efficient all-in-one design and resellers will enjoy higher margin sales as the trend of enviro-friendly ROI transcends commodity-based purchasing in many GEM and corporate markets," said Valley.

Since 1989, Eurocom Corporation has led the Desktop Replacement Notebook industry with over 950 dedicated resellers and agents worldwide. For more information on Eurocom green computing, visit www.eurocom.com.

Community Service Award
At Alpine Consulting, giving back to the community is one of the tenets the company was founded upon and will always continue to be a part of the corporate culture.

"We support giving back to the community as the benefits go well beyond the work that we do," said Stan Duda, Managing Partner of Alpine Consulting. "It helps foster a team environment, and our employees genuinely enjoy helping others."

NASBA awarded Alpine Consulting the Community Service Award for their ongoing support of the Illinois Chapters of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society (NMSS) and the Muscular Dystrophy Society (MDS). Between these two organizations, Alpine has volunteered thousands of hours, donated nearly $50,000 in IT services, and directly raised over $250,000 through corporate teams.

"With close personal ties to both diseases, Alpine management is fully behind these associations and support our employees' volunteer efforts before, during and after the work day," added Duda.

The Alpine team consists of 46 cyclists and 40 volunteers who raised $67,208 in 2005 alone - the highest per rider fundraising level among the larger teams. Through their leadership efforts, Alpine has also helped turn the NMSS event from a 700 rider weekend raising $500,000 in 2002 to a 1,600 rider weekend raising $1.4 million this year.

Established in 1996, Alpine Consulting was founded by four seasoned IT consultants with the goal of running a professional services firm the "right way" for both the client and the consultant. Visit www.alpineinc.com to learn more.
