Benefit Options
NASBA offers you the opportunity to design a plan that is right for individuals and/or your business
and employees. NASBA offers you a menu of some of the best plans to choose from for individuals
and/or your company. By working with our insurance representatives, you can balance your needs with
the costs of insurance and the different coverage options. In the end, you will have a program that
makes sense for individual & family's or for your business.
Plan Options
1. Traditional PPO and HMO Programs:
(Individual & Family and Employer Plans)
- Key Benefit:
Comprehensive coverage programs for your employees and families
2. Major Medical High Deductible Programs:
(Individual & Family and Employer Plans)
Similar to standard PPO or HMO but with a high deductible.
- Key Benefit:
Substantially lower your insurance premiums without sacrificing your coverage , great program for
typical NASBA Members that are primarily healthy, young to middle-aged employees. This program utilizes
layers of insurance coverage to protect you against the most common causes of health insurance. It
includes 100% PPO Coinsurance with a $10,000 deductible, but the deductible is only $100 for accidents,
and the program includes 4 doctor's visits annually with $35 copay, plus the plan covers against major
illnesses such as heart attacks, strokes and cancer (at lower deductibles) and includes a prescription
drug discounts.
This is a new and innovative way to lower your premiums.
3. Limited Benefit:
(Individual & Family and Employer Plans)
Catastrophic coverage for major illnesses.
- Key Benefit: Good for employees that don't have many health insurance needs
and that want coverage to protect them against a major health condition.
4. Discount Network Program*
(Individual & Family and Employer plans)
Low cost care, you pay the discounted rate for health treatment that is pre-negotiated
with
medical providers. Options to include payment for accidents.
- Key Benefit:
Good for employees that can't afford traditional or high-deductible health insurance or
don't need comprehensive benefits coverage. Also the program is good for employees with pre-existing
conditions that can't be fully insured.

5. Trends
Many companies are simply offering their employees a monthly insurance allowance and allowing them to purchase
coverage on their own. By utilizing the different Insurance options from NASBA, you and your employees can
find the coverage that fits your needs. Consider this option when offering insurance to your employees.
